A depression, centred to the East of Ireland during the day, generated a fresh to strong, south to southwest airflow over the country. The associated occlusions tracked across Ireland during the day. Rain moved in from the Atlantic overnight, bringing wet conditions to all parts of the country through the day. It was a dull, misty and blustery day, with the heaviest of the rain across the South and East of the country. Unsettled conditions continued through the afternoon and evening, with a clearance to dry weather shortly before midnight.

An associated cold front cleared eastward while a showery trough followed from the West through Monday. A touch of frost, mist and fog developed in the first hours of the day. The morning began mostly dry and bright, though cloud gradually built from the South, bringing patchy rain and drizzle to parts of South towards evening, while Northern areas remained mostly dry and bright. The night saw clear spells in the North and West with some frost and fog patches, while cloudier conditions in the South and East brought some isolated drizzle.

Much drier across East and Southeast counties though, apart from patchy light rain or drizzle at times. It became drier from the Southwest during the afternoon but with the odd spot of drizzle and with some mist and coastal fog in places.

A band of rain moved in from the Atlantic around midday and moved eastward across the country, but the East remained mostly dry. Behind this band of rain came a clearance to sunny spells and scattered showers. Temperatures were slightly above average for the time of year, reaching into the mid-teens.

A ridge of high pressure generated a moderate to fresh, west to north-west airflow over Ireland. It was mostly a cloudy day with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle pushing eastward across the country. More persistent rain developed in the West and Northwest in the evening. The rain was heaviest across the Midlands, with the South of the country escaping the worst of the rain. Winds were strongest on the West and North coasts. The wind and rain eased towards the evening and night.

A moderate to fresh, southwest to west airflow, covered Ireland. This was generated by an anticyclone, centred in the mid-Atlantic, and a depression, centred to the South of Iceland. An associated frontal trough lay over the South and East of the country, slowly clearing. Lingering rain and drizzle cleared southeastwards in the first hours of the morning, giving way to sunny spells spreading from the North and West, along with scattered showers. Patches of fog also developed. Through the afternoon, sunshine mixed with showers that became more frequent in the Northwest until the evening. The night featured clear spells and scattered showers, most frequent in the North and West. Some frost developed under clear skies, mainly in the Southeast.

Ireland lay in a fresh to near gale force, southwest airflow, with an anticyclone centred approximately 400 nautical miles to the Southwest of Mizen Head and a depression centred to the Southeast of Greenland. Frontal troughs over the Northwest moved southeastwards across Ireland. A wet and windy start as rain moved southeastwards over Ireland. This rain slowly cleared to the Southeast in the afternoon, followed by sunny spells and some isolated showers. Sunny spells for most in the evening, apart from some cloud and patchy drizzle in the Southwest. Some scattered showers in the North too. Fresh and gusty winds for most throughout the day, strong for a time in the North. Coming into nightfall, it was mainly dry with clear spells, apart from a few scattered showers in the North and cloudier conditions in the Southwest.
